"Pele" is a contemporary abstract art print in the goddess series of energy art by Primal Painter. This serene artwork features soft tones of teal, peach, white, and subtle greens with graceful lines, balance, and flow. All of my art is meaningful with symbolism and positive energy, and this one is for Maui. "Pele" (pronounced peh-lay) is the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, and in Hawaiian culture, her name means "She Who Shapes the Sacred Land". She represents fire which is destructive, but it can also purify by releasing the old to make way for the new. In this image, she looks on and breathes the seeds of growth onto the land and seeds of hope to those who feel despair. Traditionally, she's represented by the reds and oranges of fire, but I chose a different interpretation to convey healing from the destruction.
This series is a study in Zen energy where the imagery is suggested rather than literal and invites the viewer to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. This intentional ambiguity fosters an engagement with the artwork and creates an introspective space for reflection to sense and feel.

The photo paper prints are professionally printed on high-quality paper and are unframed. I usually have the 8" x 10" size on hand and can ship it within three days. Smaller sizes are shipped in a rigid envelope through USPS, and large sizes are rolled in a tube. They're ordered just for you and take up to two weeks to receive.
The stretched canvas prints are professionally printed with a semi-gloss protective laminate. The 1.5" sides are mirrored, meaning the image appears to extend around the edges, and it's ready to hang right out of the box with an installed sawtooth hanger. All sizes are ordered just for you, and because they're heavy with a wood backboard to prevent warping, they're shipped directly from the printer to save on shipping costs and take two weeks or less to receive. They need to be signed for.
